Lauren Mitsis, M.Ed.

Trainer

Lauren is a Trainer with Keys to Literacy, resides in central Massachusetts, and has over 20 years of educator experience. She began her career as a first- and second-grade teacher, and she is currently a Reading Specialist at a private K-6 school in Boston. She has completed multi-year trainings in Universal Design for Learning and Dyslexia. Lauren earned a Master of Education in Reading and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood from Framingham State University. She is certified as an Orton Gillingham practitioner from the Orton Gillingham Academy, and she is currently a Fellow in Training, which means she is training to teach educators a multi-sensory approach. She has served on several state committees, including a project to rewrite the Reading Teacher standards. When she is not in the classroom or collaborating with educators, she enjoys watching her three sons play soccer and hockey.
