The Key Writing Routine
Keys to Literacy Training Center, Rowley, MA
Professional development program for teaching basic writing skills to students in grades 4-12. Teachers are trained how to integrate evidence-based writing instruction into content area teaching. The program consists of three parts: Day 1 Writing Foundations, Day 2 Writing to Learn and Day 3 Types of Writing. Opt to attend a single day or multiple days.

A routine for embedding academic vocabulary instruction in all content areas using existing classroom reading material. The routine combines research-based, direct and indirect instructional practices.
