The ANSWER Key to Open Response
In this one-day training, attendees learn a routine for teaching students how to answer reading comprehension open response questions, such as those tested on the MCAS ELA Reading Comprehension sections. The steps in the routine include the following reading comprehension, organization, and writing skills:
Participants are encouraged to generate and have students answer open response questions from content reading material as a strategy to improve the learning of content information as well as to improve open response answers for assessments.
